Bank Indonesia provides opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop their businesses. One of the MSMEs that developed under the auspices of Bank Indonesia is Bengok Craft.
Bengok Craft and Bank Indonesia have the same goal, which is to turn waste into valuable objects. As in Bengok Craft’s tagline, “Turn Waste to Save the Planet” Bengok Craft utilizes water hyacinth which is a weed plant into various useful and eco-friendly crafts.
Bengok Craft was established in 2019 as an MSME in the crafting sector. In terms of providing benefits to the planet, Bengok Craft has empowered around 20 workers at once and indirectly creates jobs for the community.
After collaborating with Bank Indonesia, Bengok Craft was able to build a wide network both at Indonesia and abroad. For example, Bengok Craft became a souvenir supplier at the Indonesian Creative Work event/Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI). In addition, Bengok Craft also provided training to CSR of Pusri Indonesia Fertilizer. Pupuk Pusri Indonesia sent their mentees to Salatiga to learn water hyacinth crafts. Bengok Craft has also participated in the Gayeng 2022 UMKM/MSME exhibition in Singapore.
