Bengok Craft had the opportunity to participate in The 23rd Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) 2023, one of the largest craft product fairs in Southeast Asia.

This event was held on March 1-5 2023 bringing the theme, “The Authentic of South Sulawesi”. Each Fair carries a different regional theme. Even so, this largest exhibition was attended by all SME industries from various regions in Indonesia.

This fair was held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Bengok Craft became one of the representatives of fostered SMEs under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry. Apart from the ministries, there are also SMEs under other auspices brought to INACRAFT, such as from BUMN, Dinas/Dekranasda, members of the Association of Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers (ASEPHI) and non-members.

The SME tenants are of course competing to showcase their best crafts in order to attract the attention of buyers. The buyers here could be local buyers and foreign buyers.

Bengok Craft looks confident showing his water hyacinth crafts. Several of his creations could be seen displayed at the Ministry of Industry stand, such as Bengok Handbags, Bengok Slingbags, Bengok K-Style Bags, Bengok Totebags, Bengok Hats, Bengok Slippers, Bengok Cases, and many more.

Firman Setyaji as the Founder of Bengok Craft said on (03/05) that the products or creations that INACRAFT 2023 are most interested in are the Bengok Slipper and Bengok Hampers Bag. In fact, the two kind products immediately sold out on the first day of the Fair.

Apart from the many products sold, Firman emphasized that INACRAFT 2023 also opens opportunities for networking and collaborating with other SMEs.

“When else can we meet with many SME owners in the same event?” said Firman.

Firman continued that he was very grateful to be able to participate in INACRAFT 2023 because previously he had gone through a series of selections such as curation by the Ministry.

He also thanked the Ministry of Industry for bridging his business so he could participate in INACRAFT 2023.

In the future, he hopes to be able to take part in INACRAFT again, of course with the more varied products he owns.

INACRAFT is planned to be held twice in 2023 which is then expected to be held on 2-6 October 2023 at the same place at JCC Senayan.
