One of the Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication Sciences named Dede Febri Purba conducted news coverage on Bengok Craft. This is of course in the context of television news production for the purposes of course assignments.
Dede visited Bengok Craft on Monday 20 February 2023 at noon local time. Armed with the gadgets he has, he visited the Bengok Craft Homebase on Jalan Fatmawati, Kesongo Village, Semarang Regency, Central Java.
There, he met the intern staff and Student Study Service students who were carrying out their activities there.
Dede asked directly about Bengok Craft, starting from its inception, background, current activities, and future plans.
At that time Dede seemed to be the host of the news coverage, he seemed encouraged in asking questions while facing the camera.
Dede didn’t only get information about Bengok Craft, he even got direct experience on how to make Bengok Craft bracelets. She and the Bengok Craft team learned together, starting with water hyacinth that had been dried and then braided in a circle to form a bracelet. Then don’t forget to add additional elements such as beads so that the bracelet becomes even more attractive to look at.
Dede seemed very enthusiastic about following step by step in making water hyacinth crafts until he succeeded in making them. As a result, the crafts he makes become souvenirs before returning home.
Dede is one of the many people who collaborate with Bengok Craft. Bengok Craft is very open to anyone who wants to learn water hyacinth craft, collaborate on products, research, news coverage, and so on.
Because for the Founder of Bengok Craft, Firman Setyaji has the motto “Life is a Flame to Enlighten”, life must give meaning to others.
