Novotel Semarang is one of the hospitality industries in the city of Semarang that often supports Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises to scale up their business to the next level. One of them is by presenting the UMKM Fair for business people in Semarang and its surroundings.

This UMKM Fair invites Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises to display their products in the booth provided, owners and representatives also have the opportunity to engage directly with customers by offering them directly, so that mutual benefits occur for guests and business owners.

Even though most of the people who come to this fair are hotel guests, public may also visit to see the UMKM Fair. This fair is usually open from 9 am to 8 pm.

This UMKM Fair in the previous year, even before the pandemic, was routinely held. However, since the COVID 19 pandemic hit, this Fair has been temporarily closed at certain moments and actually held regularly again in 2022 as the Covid 19 case declines.

In 2023, of course, with the pandemic situation getting better, Novotel Semarang still want the UMKM Fair to continue. For the first time in 2023, Novotel held an exhibition from 30 January to 6 February 2023 by dividing into 2 groups.

The first group on January 30 – February 2 2023 invited Mariena Shop, IDEAcraft, Hasna Snack, Poeliciuz, Food Cluster, GKS Sekayu, and Chilomita.

Meanwhile, the second group was present on 3 – 6 February 2023 inviting Mbah Sutri, Orins Himawari, Deqipaz, Semprong Yuta, Gerai KopiMi, Bengok Craft, Qirana, and Kopi Salem.

Bengok Craft is one of the craft SMEs that has the opportunity to take part in the Fair from Novotel. As a water hyacinth handicraft business, Bengok Craft showcases its products at Novotel with more variants than usual, such as totebags, handbags, slingbags, hats, slippers, jackets, books, bracelets, key chains, boxes, and many more.
