The Bengok Craft Workshop was again attended by students. This time, dozens of students from Primary School Don Bosco Semarang enjoyed the Bengok Craft Workshop.
This workshop was held on Monday, 12 December 2022 at Daringan Kesongo Culture, an authentic restaurant in the middle of rice fields and Rawa Pening.
This time the workshop was attended by students in order to fill in the outing class activities carried out by the school. Instead of spending time in the school ambience, students have the opportunity to be at one with nature and learn new things.
This is where their skills are honed. From the beginning who didn’t know to know, from those who had never practiced it before it became a valuable experience.
The students were asked to create accessories based on water hyacinth.
Before making the creations, the students were first explained by the Bengok Craft team regarding the procedure for making them. Starting from harvesting, cleaning, drying, sorting, to flattening the water hyacinth before finally being secreted into crafts using various techniques such as woven techniques, knitting techniques, and more.
Since then, the students practice it directly. The students succeeded in creating accessories crafts such as bracelets and key chains with the materials provided. Not only water hyacinth, but also lots of beads ready to decorate the bracelet or key chain.
After creating it, the students immediately used their creation bracelet on their wrist. Some of them have also wrapped it up to be used as a souvenir to take home.
After the practice, the students also had the opportunity to walk through the rice fields around the Darungan Kesongo Culture, a mini outbound was also held for them.
Firman as the owner of Bengok Craft on (12/17) said that the Bengok Craft Workshop is open to everyone who wants to take part, both small children and adults.
“If we have the packages, starting from the cheapest to the most expensive, at least 5 people can participate up to dozens of people, depending on the package,” said Firman.
Firman continued that the Bengok Craft Workshop is also very suitable for those who want to take part in outbound activities and outing classes from schools, institutions, organizations, groups, and others.
