For children, traveling while learning new things is such an unforgettable experience. This is what the students of SDN Panjang Ambarawa at Daringan Kesongo Culture, Semarang Regency did. They were very active in participating in the Bengok Craft Workshop. This workshop was held on September 24, 2022 in the morning. The students who participated were 90 students. This learning activity was also accompanied by teachers from SDN Panjang Ambarawa.
This activity began with an explanation by Bengok Craft about the water hyacinth craft and its characteristics. Then, the students were also involved to actively participate in making crafts from water hyacinth. Of course, the water hyacinth provided by Bengok Craft is dry water hyacinth that has gone through several processes such as harvesting, cleaning, and drying. The resulting craft is very unique. The students could make water hyacinth bracelet crafts. In addition, students were also free to make their creations according to their creativity. The students seemed to enjoy the workshop, especially since their location is in the middle of rice fields and swamps where they can also saw the amazing natural scenery.
The activity was not over yet, the students were invited to explore the rice fields around Daringan Kesongo Culture together as an explorer of the potential natural wealth around Rawa Pening. Then, the activity continued with playing traditional games and closed with a group photo.
