Bengok Craft is one of the partners of Bank Indonesia Central Java Representative Office. After previously participating in export and training programs and discussions, this time Bengok Craft was invited again by Bank Indonesia in the working visit of the House of Representatives (DPR) of Commission XI. This commission is in charge of finance and banking.
This activity was held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9 am at UMKM Roro Kenes. The implementation is in the form of discussions between Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, and from the parliament. In addition, there were also discussions with SMEs. Besides Bengok Craft, there were several other MSMEs invited, such as Rokens, Naruna ceramic, and representatives of subsistence SMEs.
CEO of Bengok Craft Firman Setyaji said on Saturday (09/24) that his party was very proud to be able to participate again in the event of Bank Indonesia and the House of Representatives (DPR). He also hopes that with this event, there will be more opportunities for MSMEs to develop into a wider market.
As a commission that focuses on finance and banking, of course the parliament wants to know what the role of the Central Bank is, one of which is as a facilitator for SMEs. Bank Indonesia has been very active in helping MSMEs by providing useful programs such as training, export access, exhibitions, discussions, funding access, and much more. The steps taken by Bank Indonesia have also yielded results, as evidenced by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) loans in Central Java Province which grew by 27.19 percent (year on year/yoy) in the second quarter of 2022, driven by capital loans. Employment grew 28.78 percent (yoy).
The activity of this working visit closed with the handing over of souvenirs from Bank Indonesia to the house of representatives and followed by a group photo.
