As a craft business that processes less useful goods into more useful goods, Bengok Craft always actively participates in training, development, and business exhibitions. Both from government and non-government institutions. Like Bengok Craft’s participation in the Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC). 

BCIC is a Creative Industry Development Center managed by the Directorate General of Small and Medium Industries of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. As a result, the Ministry of Industry provides a platform to facilitate micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as one of the strategies for economic and industrial development in Indonesia is the development of creative industries.

Currently there are 15 sub-sectors of creative industries being developed, namely advertising, architecture, art market, crafts/crafts, design, fashion, film-video-photography, interactive games, music, performing arts, publishing and printing, computer and software services., radio and tv, research and development, and culinary. 

The Ministry of Industry encourages the growth of the fashion and craft industry by providing education and development facilities. The Minister of Industry has issued Decree No. 146/M-IND/Kep/3/2014 concerning Empowerment of Denpasar Industrial Education and Training Center as a Center for Creative Industry Development, or the so-called Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC). fashion in order to have added value and be competitive. Including Bengok Craft’s participation in BCIC, it is hoped that it can optimize the creative economy in the context of positive economic growth, considering that MSMEs are one of the sectors that contribute a lot to economic growth. 

As an MSME facilitator, BCIC which is located in Denpasar, Bali has a vision that is to become a Center for the Development of Leading Creative Industries and Innovations to increase the nation’s competitiveness as a driver of community welfare. 

While BCIC Missions are as follows: 

– Building a Creative Industry Ecosystem.

– Developing Research on Technology, Design, Art, Culture and Innovation of the National Creative Industry. 

– Building the capacity of human resources and creative communities that are superior and more competitive.

– Facilitating the Promotion and Marketing of National Creative Industry Products.

BCIC does not only provide physical facilities including rooms special for MSMEs, but also online programs such as on the Website, Youtube, and Instagram. The programs such as podcasts and live sessions with expert speakers.

Bengok Craft is a member of BCIC as well as an MSME from Semarang, Central Java, which was founded in 2019 by Firman Setyaji. When he returned to his hometown in Semarang and saw the potential that can be developed from water hyacinth that grows around Rawa Pening, that’s where Bengok Craft was born with the mission of processing water hyacinth which is considered a weed into a valuable craft and also able to empower the surrounding community.

Bengok Craft carries 3 of 5 types of brand personality in general, namely: Sincerity – Competence – Excitement.
