Bengok Craft, as one of the SMEs assisted by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Eximbank Indonesia, participated in the prestigious event of world leaders at the G20 summit.
These high-quality handicraft products were displayed at the Rumah Joglo and Rumah Minahasa booths at JCC, Senayan.
The products displayed are expected to attract interest from the members of the G20 delegation from all participating countries. Therefore, it can reflect Indonesia’s strength to rise to face the pandemic with a positive and enthusiastic spirit.
LPEI Executive Director Rijani Tirtoso said that on this occasion, her party brought various products from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), which were the result of our Consulting Services programs, such as the Coaching Program for New Exporters (CPNE) and Desa Devisa.
“This program has the aim of creating new exporters and advancing export commodities of a region,” she said during a webinar on Tuesday (15/2/2022).
The mission carried out by the LPEI in restoring the community’s economy through exports is very much in line with the G20 event, which was hosted in Indonesia. Indonesia officially holds the G20 Presidency for one year, from 1 December 2021 to November 2022. This event has the theme “Recover together, recover stronger.” Indonesia invites leaders around the world to consolidate together to achieve recovery due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bengok Craft, as one of the selected SMEs, is a Semarang Regency SME that processes water hyacinth into various valuable handicrafts. The weeds were successfully processed into bags, books, jackets, cellphone cases, et cetera. Its products have also managed to penetrate the export market with destination countries such as Singapore, Italy, UAE, and others
